AI Usage Policy

Transparency about how AI assists our editorial workflow

Lumina Daily uses artificial intelligence as a tool to assist our editorial team — never to replace human judgment, theological review, or pastoral care. This policy explains exactly where and how AI is involved in our content pipeline.

Our Principle: Human Oversight Always

Every piece of content published on Lumina Daily — whether drafted with AI assistance or written entirely by a human author — is reviewed, edited, and approved by a member of our Editorial Team before publication. No content is published automatically by AI.

We believe that content about Scripture, faith, and the human soul requires human wisdom, discernment, and accountability. AI is a drafting tool; humans are the publishers.

Where AI Is Used

Daily Prayer Generation

Our daily prayer feature uses AI to generate a fresh morning prayer each day, grounded in Scripture. Every prayer is reviewed for theological appropriateness before publication.

Content Hub Articles

Some articles are drafted with AI assistance and then reviewed, edited, and approved by a human editor. No AI-drafted content is published without human review.

Bible Study Questions

AI assists in generating reflection questions and study prompts for Bible chapters. These are reviewed for accuracy and pastoral sensitivity.

Where AI Is NOT Used

Our Faith Statement and Editorial Policy are written exclusively by human authors.

All legal documents — Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Disclaimer — are human-authored.

Scripture references are always verified against the actual biblical text, not AI-generated paraphrases.

Theological claims and doctrinal positions are established by human editors, not AI.

Quality Controls

Every AI-assisted piece goes through the following review pipeline before publication:

  • Theological review: A human editor verifies that all claims are consistent with Scripture and orthodox Christian theology.
  • Scripture verification: Every Bible verse cited is checked against the actual text in the cited translation. See our Bible Translation Policy.
  • Fact-checking: Historical, biographical, and archaeological claims are verified against established sources. See our Fact-Checking Process.
  • Pastoral review: Content is evaluated for tone, sensitivity, and appropriateness for readers in various life situations.
  • Editorial standards: All content must meet our Content Standards before publication.

Transparency and Corrections

We are committed to transparent disclosure of AI involvement. If you encounter content you believe contains errors or theological inaccuracies, please contact us. We investigate and correct verified errors within 5 business days, with a correction notice added to the affected content.

Continuous Improvement

As AI technology evolves, so does our policy. We regularly review our AI usage to ensure it aligns with our commitment to biblical accuracy, pastoral care, and editorial integrity. This policy was last updated in 2026.
