Faith Statement
What we believe, the theological foundation of Lumina Daily
Lumina Daily is a non-denominational Christian spiritual growth platform. The following statement of faith represents the core theological convictions that guide our content, our design decisions, and our heart for every user. We welcome all who sincerely seek to know God through His Word, regardless of denominational background or theological tradition.
The Bible
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final rule of faith and practice for the Christian life. The Scriptures were written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit and are therefore trustworthy in all that they affirm.
We affirm:
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
This conviction is the reason Lumina Daily exists. We believe daily engagement with Scripture transforms lives, shapes character, and aligns the believer with God's purposes. Every feature we build is designed to facilitate deeper, more consistent interaction with the living Word of God.
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God, co-equal and co-eternal, yet distinct in person and role. God is the Creator and sustainer of all things, perfectly holy, infinitely wise, and overflowing with love, mercy, and grace.
The Trinity:
We worship the Father who sends, the Son who saves, and the Spirit who sanctifies, one God, three persons, working in perfect unity for our redemption and His glory.
Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who became fully human through the virgin birth (Matthew 1:23), lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for human sin, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will return visibly and personally at the end of the age.
Jesus is the only way of salvation, not one way among many, but the exclusive mediator between God and humanity (John 14:6; 1 Timothy 2:5). His resurrection is a historical fact that is the foundation and vindication of Christian faith.
The Gospel:
Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, he was buried, and he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates those who trust in Christ, indwells every believer, empowers Christian living, and guides the church into all truth. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God at work in the world today, applying the work of Christ to the hearts of men and women.
We recognize that Christians hold varying views on the gifts and operations of the Holy Spirit. Lumina Daily welcomes believers from across that spectrum, from cessationist to continuationist, with respect and grace.
Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is not earned by human effort, religious ritual, or moral achievement. God saves sinners not because of anything they have done or will do, but entirely on the basis of His grace and the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
Justification by Faith:
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9
Everyone who genuinely repents of sin and places their faith in Jesus Christ receives forgiveness, eternal life, and adoption into God's family. This transformation is the beginning of an ongoing process of sanctification, becoming more like Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Church
We believe in the universal Church, the body of Christ, composed of all who have been born again through faith in Jesus Christ. The local church is God's primary instrument for discipleship, worship, fellowship, service, and mission in the world.
Lumina Daily is not a substitute for local church membership and community. We encourage every user to be actively involved in a local, Bible-believing church. Our platform is a supplement to, not a replacement for, the gathered community of believers that God has designed for spiritual growth and accountability.
Humanity and Dignity
We believe every human being is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and therefore possesses inherent dignity and worth. This conviction shapes how we design our platform, with respect for users of every background, ethnicity, nationality, age, and life story.
We also believe that every person is a sinner in need of God's grace (Romans 3:23), and that the Gospel is the only sufficient answer to the human condition. We approach every user with the same grace and welcome that we ourselves have received in Christ.
Eternity
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, both the saved and the unsaved, and in a conscious life after death. Those who have trusted in Christ will spend eternity in the presence of God in the new heaven and new earth. Those who have rejected Christ will face eternal separation from God. These are sobering realities that motivate our urgency to make Scripture accessible to as many people as possible.

A Note on Non-Denominationalism
Lumina Daily is intentionally non-denominational. We believe the core truths of the Christian faith unite us far more than secondary theological differences divide us. On issues of salvation, Scripture, the person of Christ, and the resurrection, we hold firmly to orthodox Christian teaching. On secondary matters where sincere believers disagree, church governance, worship style, eschatology, spiritual gifts, and others, we make room for diversity and gracious dialogue.
Our goal is not to advance a particular tradition, but to help every believer, Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Reformed, Anglican, Catholic, or independent, grow deeper in their walk with the God of the Bible.
