When you register, we collect your name and email address to create and manage your account.

Content you create within the app — including journal entries, prayer requests, notes, goals, and scripture highlights — is stored securely and is private to your account unless you explicitly share it in a public community feature.

c) Usage & Analytics Data
We collect anonymized data about how you use the app (pages visited, features used, session duration) to improve performance and features. This data cannot identify you personally.

d) Device & Technical Information
We collect device type (iOS, Android, desktop), operating system version, browser type, IP address, and crash/error logs to ensure app stability and security.

e) Payment Information
Premium subscription payments are processed by our secure payment provider. We do not store your full credit card number or payment details on our servers.

Lumina Daily displays advertisements through Google AdSense to support the free availability of our service. Google AdSense uses cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to Lumina Daily and/or other sites on the internet. This is known as interest-based advertising.

If you use Lumina Daily on an iOS device via the Apple App Store, the following also applies:

• Data Not Linked to You: Anonymized usage analytics and crash reports are collected but not linked to your identity.
• Data Linked to You: Your email, name, and user-generated content (prayers, journal entries, notes) are linked to your account.
• App Tracking Transparency (ATT): If the app requests permission to track you across other apps and websites, you may allow or deny this via the iOS system prompt. Denying tracking will result in non-personalized ads only.
• Push Notifications: If you grant notification permissions, we may send you devotional reminders and prayer alerts. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Lumina Daily → Notifications.
• No Third-Party SDK Data Sharing: We do not share your personal data with third-party SDKs beyond those listed above.

We retain your account and personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

User-generated content (journal entries, prayers, notes) is deleted immediately upon account deletion.

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and access controls to protect your personal data. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Lumina Daily is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Portability: Request a portable export of your data.
• Opt-Out of Ads: Opt out of interest-based advertising as described in Section 3.

• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. You will receive the same quality of service regardless.
• Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
• Shine the Light: California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about how we disclose personal data to third parties for direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal data for direct marketing purposes.

To exercise your California privacy rights, please contact us. We will respond within 45 days as required by law. You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf.

Lumina Daily is based in the United States. If you access the app from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
